Hi! My name is Bella, welcome to the story of my Mom and I finding each other!
Once upon a time I was surrendered to a shelter when my original family couldn’t take care of me anymore. Alone and getting sick, I sat in a cell for over seven weeks, hoping someone would be able to see past my color and breed, into my heart, and know that all I wanted was a home and a family to love.
I was rescued from the shelter by an organization called Wags and Walks who gave me a safe place to get healthy, while learning about my personality. It wasn’t long before they matched me with Mom (aka Lauren Wyckoff) and we fell in love right away.
She was able to see past the stereotype of pit bulls and recognize that I was a sweet soul looking for love.
Then she went and wrote a book to help change the perception of pit bulls, and I couldn’t love her more! She’s truly the best!
She has a huge heart though, which is why she rescued another dog, Steve-o, who became my brother. He and I love to play during the day, and snuggle Mom at night.
A family is all I wanted, and exactly what I have now. Thanks Mom!
